- Plan presentations and assemble the needed materials

- Revise a manuscript, based on the critique group's suggestions or my own sense of what is "not right"
- Send personal information to any media outlet that wants to feature me and my work, or might want to
- Do book signings in bookstores and book festivals
- Plan and develop various publicity materials: posters, cards, flyers
- Read books, magazines, and newsletters about writing
- Record information that might have usefulness down the line in my writer's notebook
